A truck slammed into a woman and killed her as she walked across Interstate 25 on foot early Wednesday morning, authorities say.
The name of the woman has not been released.
The woman was walking across northbound I-25 near Speer Boulevard at 1:25 a.m. when a truck ran her over, said Christine Downs, a Denver police spokeswoman.
The truck driver remained at the scene of the crash, Downs said.
“He stayed on the scene so there will be no citations,” she said.
