A United Airlines flight out of Denver returned to the airport shortly after takeoff on Thursday night because of a bird strike.
Flight 745, from Denver International Airport to Portland, Ore., was diverted, said Maddie King, a United spokeswoman.
There were no injuries.
The Boeing 737, which was scheduled Thursday for a 6:50 p.m. takeoff out of Denver, safely returned to DIA. Passengers were put on another aircraft as a maintenance crew checked the aircraft that was struck, King said. The flight continued and was scheduled to arrive in Portland at 8:31 Pacific Daylight Time.
