A man critically wounded in in Denver’s Virginia Village neighborhood has died, police said Thursday.
Investigators say the case is being investigated as a homicide, but declined to elaborate.

The shooting happened on the 1300 block of South Birch Street, near the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and East Louisiana Avenue.
Christine Downs, a police spokesman, said on Thursday that no arrests have been made in the case. Downs said the man died late Wednesday afternoon.
Further information on the slain man, including his name and age, were not immediately released.
