Re: “Darryl Glenn struggles to explain Trump support; Michael Bennet defends his voting record,” Oct. 11 news story.
Tuesday nightap U.S. Senate debate confirmed that Michael Bennet is the only candidate for the job.
Republican Darryl Glenn spent the evening walking back his words. The moderators pressed Glenn repeatedly to clarify his waffling support for Donald Trump, but Glenn equivocated so much that they decided not to waste the whole hour and moved on. But the flip-flopping continued. Glenn lamely tried to deny he had supported a Muslim travel ban, even though he has openly advocated such a twisted policy.
While Glenn flailed, Bennet discussed policy, working across the aisle to help Colorado, and his long list of legislative successes. He had a substantive, thoughtful answer for every question—and, unlike Glenn, actually answered the questions. Remember this when you vote.
