Interview with Andrew Petrone, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?
:I’ve always wanted to own a restaurant since I was a kid. I started working in them when I was 15 years old. I became a head chef at the age of 21 and excelled at it.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We are very local. Greg (the other owner) and I were born and raised in Littleton. We are small mom-and-pop type restaurant and take great pride in our food. We have a wide selection of great food, but our barbecue is the best. We do a ton of catering and make menus to fit any event.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: I like the process with food. The kitchen staff and I are very pleased when we know we have made a happy customer with our food.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Government regulations and taxes that are supposedly supposed to balance the rich and poor, but often hurt our smaller businesses.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: I have been barbecuing for 10-plus years and we make about everything from scratch in our kitchen.
