Vista PEAK beats Lincoln for Bison’s sixth straight win

The Bison led 20-0 after three quarters in the East Metro showdown at All-City Stadium

Vista PEAK jumped out to a 14 point lead after one quarter and never looked back on Friday en route to a 34-14 win over Lincoln in East Metro League play. Junior quarterback Derek Smashum led the way for the Bison with 17 completions for 290 yards and four TDs, with each score ending up in the hands of a different receiver.

The Bison (6-2, 3-0) are now tied for first place in the league standings with Palmer Ridge; Vista Peak takes on the Bears in the final game of the regular season following its home showdown against Thomas Jefferson next Friday. Meanwhile, the Lancers fall to 2-5, 0-3 and play at Denver North next Friday.
