A man driving a pickup truck fired at least one bullet into an SUV, striking and injuring one person shortly before the SUV collided with a separate vehicle at a downtown Denver intersection early Friday, October 28, 2016.

The person with a bullet wound was hospitalized with a serious bodily injury, White said.

Police are looking for a shooting suspect who was wearing a black beanie hat. The suspect was driving an older-model white Chevrolet pickup truck, White said.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m., he said.

A short time later, the SUV collided with a separate vehicle at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Kalamath Street, White said. The black SUV rolled over and came to rest upside down.

There were five people in the SUV, including the person who was shot. Only one person was in the other vehicle. None of the identities of the victims have been released, and all lanes of traffic are now open.
