The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced that it stripped CSU-Pueblo’s football team of its 2015 RMAC championship because the team played two athletes who were academically ineligible, according to a press release.

The conference levied a $7,500 fine against the team and vacated the ThunderWolves 2015 NCAA playoff appearance in addition to its RMAC championship. The school’s 2015 record will reflect a 10-1 overall record, going 9-0 in the conference.

The two players in question received a credit for a course they were repeating. The school says neither player is a fault for the administrative error. After discovering the oversight, CSU-Pueblo self reported to the violation to the RMAC.
