
Man says he’s hiding from immigrants. On Oct. 23, Denver police were dispatched to Glazed and Confused, 5301 Leetsdale Drive, on a report of someone banging on the door trying to get in. The suspect attempted to hide from police and threw a metal chair at the window of another building, but failed to break the glass. When the man was apprehended, he said he was trying to hide from illegal immigrants.
That wasn’t private. A couple was arrested Oct. 24 after police found them having sexual intercourse in an alley in the 1400 block of Williams Street. Both said they thought they were in a private area. The couple was cited for indecent exposure and taken to detox.
Woman fights with daycare employees. On Oct. 25, a woman was arrested after she got into an altercation with daycare employees at Sunshine Academy, 1395 Lowell Blvd. The woman was using profanity while arguing with staff and then began to strike an employee. Another employee stepped in and was scratched by the suspect.
Assault at La Rumba. Police arrested a man Oct. 21 after he threw a candle at a man and punched him at La Rumba Bar, 99 W. Ninth Ave. The victim told police he was involved in a dispute with the suspect over a beer and that was when the suspect threw the hot candle, spilling wax on him.Man flees from robber. On Oct. 20, a man contacted police after a suspect approached him and tried to rob him in the 9700 block of East Girard Avenue. The victim said he was changing a tire when the suspect approached and demanded his things. When he ran, the suspect pursued for a short time before leaving the area.
