Parking lot quarrel leads man to reach for gun. Two men got involved in a road rage incident near the Dependable Cleaners at 2201 W. Wildcat Reserve Parkway, Highlands Ranch, on Oct. 7. The reporting party said the other driver cut him off, so he twice gestured for him to roll down his window. The other driver then held up a black case the man realized may have contained a gun. The other driver confirmed he held up a case containing an unloaded pistol because he feared the other man. No arrests were made.
Nobody’s knife. Police responded to a report a knife was pulled during a fight at the Castle Rock Bar & Grill, 302 Wilcox Street, Castle Rock, at 1:55 a.m., Oct. 22 Officers saw three men outside the bar including one with a knife on his belt. They denied anything more than a verbal argument happened. Most witnesses had left the bar so officers couldn’t substantiate that a crime occurred.
Truck luck. A man living in the 9700 block of Garwood Lane, Roxborough Park, awoke Oct. 5 to find that his truck was gone from in front of his home. He reported that it was left unlocked. He valued it at $5,000. His neighbor later found the truck undamaged just a few blocks away.
Thank the bank. A Castle Rock resident went to the police station Oct. 13 to report an attempted identity theft. The victim said her bank called her to check if she’d authorized a new credit card to be issued. Someone had called posing as her to request the card. The victim canceled it before the new one could be delivered to the address the impostor provided.
