Mike Pence, Bill Clinton will visit Colorado this week as campaigns make final push

The campaigns of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are bringing top surrogates to the state

Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence and former President Bill Clinton are visiting Colorado this week as the campaigns make their final push before Election Day.

Pence, the governor of Indiana, will attend a 5:30 p.m. rally Wednesday at The Ranch in Loveland as part of the Trump campaign’s continued push in a key battleground state, where polls show the race tightening. (.)

Bill Clinton will campaign for his wife Friday with a morning event in and afternoon events in and .

Other presidential campaign events this week include:

— Labor Secretary Tom Perez will host a canvassing kickoff for Clinton at 3 p.m. Tuesday in West Denver and attend a 7 p.m. get-out-the-vote event with other Democratic and Latino leaders at a Denver union office.

— Chelsea Clinton for her mother Tuesday evening in Aurora and Wednesday in Boulder.

–Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich will hold a discussion at noon Wednesday with other conservative leaders at the Independence Institute in Denver.

–Donald Trump Jr. will have a rally with Colorado Youth Outdoors on Thursday in Fort Collins, starting at 10:30 a.m.

–Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson will hold a 3 p.m. rally Sunday in Denver. The campaign has yet to announce additional details.
