BOYS SOCCER POSTSEASON POWER FIVE
- Boulder (16-0): The Front Range League champions roared to an 8-0 victory over No. 31 Rampart in the opening round.
- (16-0): Senior striker Max Gottesfeld scored twice in the Angels’ first-round victory over No. 32 Monarch.
- Arapahoe (12-4): The Warriors are playing with confidence heading into their second-rout match with an athletic Rangeview side.
- Grandview (12-2-2): The Wolves poured it on in a 9-0 win over in the first round and are led by sophomore striker Raymond Jackson.
- Broomfield (13-2-1): The Eagles overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit against No. 29 Gateway in the first round, and coach Jim Davidson will surely use that scare to refocus his team in on a title three-peat.
VOLLEYBALL POSTSEASON POWER FIVE
- (21-2): A 3-2 setback to Chatfield in the final match of the regular season doesn’t erase the fact the No. 2 Jaguars boast the most potent offensive attack in the state.
- Chatfield (21-2): The Jeffco League champions have not lost since Sept. 14, and are playing with enough swagger to beat any team in 5A.
- (20-3): The Sabercats earned the top seed in regionals and for good reason, as sophomores Riley Zuhn and Catie Semadeni are the present—and the future–of Colorado high school volleyball.
- Chaparral (16-7): The No. 6 Wolverines played 5A’s toughest schedule and have tenacious senior leaders in MaKenna Davis and Jasmine Schmidt.
- Fairview (19-4): Last year’s state runner-up boasts a skilled setter in senior Audrey Cheng as well as this fall’s Front Range League title, which means the Knights will be ready for any team in the postseason.
