No. 4 Ponderosa’s regular season finale is this Saturday at Echo Park Stadium—a key home showdown against Pueblo South (7-2, 4-0) for the 4A Foothills League title—and catalyzing the Mustangs (8-1, 4-0) is junior quarterback Sterling Ostdahl.
As a sophomore, Ostdahl took over the QB reins around the midway point last fall and has since come into his own as one of the Mustangs’ defacto leaders. Ostdahl’s thrown for 1,690 yards and 19 TD as the Mustangs have racked up an average of 44.8 points per game this year.
