The Broncos added running back Terrell Watson to their practice squad Wednesday. He takes the spot of Juwan Thompson, who was promoted to the active roster last week to help fill the void left by C.J. Anderson who was moved to injured reserve with a knee injury.

Watson was signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) in 2015, after recording a at his pro day earlier that year (his time would have ranked as the fifth-fastest among running backs in the 2015 NFL scouting combine). He spent his first NFLseason on Cincinnati’s practice squad before being picked up by the Browns in January 2016. He was released from Cleveland’s practice squad Oct. 25.
In his two preseasons, Watson has recorded 41 carries for 187 yards, plus eight catches for 35 yards.
