Satellite TV provider DirecTV is experiencing a nationwide technical outage of eight HD channels, including CNN and FOX News, the company confirmed Friday morning.
But there is a fix for fans of those channels, said Suzanne Trantow, a spokeswoman for AT&T, which owns DirecTV.
“These and most of the other channels are available in SD (standard definition) and via our streaming apps. Customers can learn how to unhide SD channels at . We apologize for the inconvenience. We’re working to address the issues and will update accordingly,” she wrote.
The other six channels include Golf HD, NBC Sports HD, Fusion HD, BBC World News HD, Comedy Central HD and Ovation HD. DirecTV provided this chart to help users find the same content:
