As expected, the Broncos are down two of their top four cornerbacks in Aqib Talib (back) and Kayvon Webster (hamstring).
Receiver Cody Latimer, quarterback Austin Davis, guard Billy Turner and Connor McGovern and nose tackle Darius Kilgo complete the Broncos inactives.
Latimer is inactive for the third straight week as the Broncos keep five receivers active, including Jordan Taylor. Kilgo is inactive for the first time this season.
With Talib and Webster out, the Broncos called up Taurean Nixon from their practice squad and he will be active as the Broncos’ fourth cornerback. The role of second-year cornerback Lorenzo Doss, who had been inactive for six of eight games this season, becomes even larger as he has to be the Broncos’ third cornerback. Bradley Roby will get the start for Talib.
On the Raiders side, they are down two starting defenders — cornerback Sean Smith and defensive tackle Stacy McGee. Smith’s absence is notable because he is the Raiders’ top cornerback and the expected cover man for Broncos’ receiver Demaryius Thomas.
