Re: Nov. 9 news story.

Your article aptly described the many real and potential conflicts of interest surrounding Donald Trump’s bid for the presidency. In it, Donald Trump Jr. is quoted saying his father would put his business assets into a blind trust that will be managed by his kids, who “will not be involved in government.”

Now the Trump kids have been named to his transition team, involving them in government. Transition team members’ expenses are paid by the federal government, including a per diem.

Trump campaign events held at his hotels involved use of campaign monies to pay for facilities, which he might have used for free. Trump used election campaign funds to pay himself for the use of these facilities.

We heard a lot from Trump during the campaign concerning Hillary Clinton’s supposed “corruption.” Isn’t such blatant, arrogant nepotism a form of corruption?
