Trespasser comes right back. On Nov. 15, Lakewood police released a man after he had been cited for trespassing at Colorado Mills Mall, 14500 W. Colfax Ave. The suspect was instructed off the property and told not return for a year. However, he immediately returned to the mall and was taken back into custody.

Man lays on horn. A man was cited for a traffic offense Nov. 19 when police stopped him for constantly laying on his horn on West Colfax Avenue, just east of Wadsworth Boulevard. The suspectap horn could be heard several blocks away. He said he was going to visit his mother in the hospital and trying to find someone who had bought him breakfast the previous day.

Trespassers at Green Mountain High School. On Nov. 16, three suspects were cited for trespassing in the back parking lot of Green Mountain High School, 13175 W. Green Mountain Drive. The suspects were first contacted by security as they were on campus after hours and were not students.

Shoplifter stopped. A man was cited for shoplifting Nov. 14 after he was stopped while trying to leave Walmart, 7455 W. Colfax Ave., without paying for more than $100 worth of items. When stopped, the suspect said he was trying to contact some friends who had just left. Loss prevention had not noticed anyone with the suspect earlier.

Meth user assaults man. On Nov. 14, a man notified police that he had been slapped in the face by a man near the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Reed Street. Police were able to contact a suspect, who appeared to be high on methamphetamine. The suspect spoke incoherently about the victim being a threat to his family.
