Police are looking for a bungling bank robber with a bad sense of timing.
A man attempted to rob an Academy Bank, 9400 E. Hampden Ave. in Aurora, inside a Walmart but showed up at 5:05 p.m., five minutes after the bank had closed, according to Deborah Sherman, an FBI spokeswoman.
The attempted robbery happened Nov. 19, and the man, who demanded money from tellers, left empty-handed.

Denver Metro Crime Stoppers on Wednesday released photographs of the robbery suspect.
He is described as a white or Asian man, in his mid-20s, about 5-foot 8 and 160 pounds, with a slim build, thin face, black hair, blue eyes, glasses and a black mustache, although the mustache may be fake. He wore a red and black plaid hunter’s cap, blue ski jacket, blue jeans, gray and black athletic shoes and black gloves the day of the attempted robbery.
He did not show a weapon.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information about the suspect. Anyone with information on a possible suspect or the attempted robbery is asked to call 720 913 7867.
