Since the election, so many well-intended male friends of mine have assured me that everything will be OK and advised me to calm down. What they do not understand is that the election of such a predator strikes at my very core as a human being. He sexually assaulted women, bragged about it, lied about it, denigrated his victims, and threatened to sue them. What he did not do was apologize for any of this. In fact, he simply dismissed it as “locker-room talk.” Yet in spite of all of this, he was elected president of the United States. This is abhorrent by every measure of decency. So I hope that my guy friends understand that I will not be able to take their advice and calm down. In fact, I’m just getting started.
