Robert Toole, senior deputy district attorney in Pueblo County, said three other defendants — accused of being accessories — are still in the process of being prosecuted for Clark’s Feb. 28 death.
Trujillo’s sentence came as part of a stipulated agreement for his September plea of second-degree murder in the case.
fatally shot Clark as the 26-year-old was walking outside the Iron Horse Bar in downtown Pueblo with friends. Two bouncers outside the busy nightspot were also wounded.
Investigators say Clark, who was shot in the chest, was not the intended target and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Trujillo, 26, was charged in May.

The trouble started when two gangs, the East Side Dukes and the Latin Aces, began “messing with each other” inside the bar, investigators said. Trujillo is believed to have unleashed a hail of gunfire on those outside the nightspot as he rode by in a passing vehicle.
The are Angelo Salas, Alicia Sosa and Tina Apodaca. They have been arrested on suspicion of being accessories to first-degree murder.
Toole declined to comment on their cases since they are open and ongoing.
Clark’s death sparked calls for change in Pueblo, which last year had Colorado’s linked to a boost in gang activity and heroin. With federal intervention earlier this year, authorities have been able to increase arrests of , leading to a reduction in homicides.
