Authorities at Lake Pueblo State Park are searching Monday for a missing man and woman who were last seen Saturday as they headed out on a boating and fishing trip.

Kimberlie Temple, 57, and Frank Montoya, 61, were last seen about 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Kyle Davidson, spokesman for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, says officials were called just before midnight and three rangers were sent out on the lake about 1 a.m. Sunday to complete a hasty search.

“The search didn’t turn up anything,” Davidson said. “They searched all through the night until about 2 p.m. on Sunday. They still didn’t have any signs of the boat or debris.”

CPW says they didn’t immediately have information on the relationship between Temple and Montoya or details on where they are from.

“The search is continuing now,” Davidson said. “We haven’t found anything yet. What’s unusual is there is no debris — no life vests that we have found thus far — that would indicate the boat sunk. We are pretty wide open with this investigation right now. It’s really just kind of in its infancy stages.”

A pickup truck and boat trailer believed to be linked pair was found near a boat ramp.

Davidson said if the two aren’t found by the end of Monday, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office will likely take over the case.
