Idle threat. On Nov. 23, Golden Police went to the 400 block of Indiana Street, on a report that a semi-truck parked nearby had been running for four days. The reporting party tried to call the truck’s company but did not get an answer. Police entered the truck through a side window and found no one inside. Several hours later, the truck’s owner called police and claimed the vehicle.

You don’t own the road. A resident of the 20000 block of Light Lane, Conifer, called Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 28 to report trespassing. The reporting party said he confronted a man who was walking on his road and argued with him. The man was gone when deputies arrived. The reporting party said he believes the road is private property because he and his neighbors maintain it, but deputies advised it is a public thoroughfare.

Pho call. Golden Police went to Pho Golden, 172111 S. Golden Road, on Nov. 29 on a report of a disturbance. The reporting party and witnesses said two diners complained about the food, so the owner told them not to pay and asked them to leave. One of the diners got angry, screamed, cursed, accused the owner of racism and claimed he was a cop with a gun, then both diners left. Police contacted the suspects nearby and trespassed them from the restaurant.

No peeking. Police were dispatched to the Dakota Ridge RV Resort, 17800 W. Colfax Ave., Golden, on a report of a suspicious person. The groundskeeper there said he saw a male looking into car windows at the park and when confronted, the suspect said “‘Watch your back.” Police contacted the suspect, who said he was looking for a woman he met at a gas station. He was trespassed from the property for five years.
