The body of a 57-year-old woman was recovered Wednesday afternoon from Lake Pueblo.

The cause and circumstances in the death of Kimberlie Temple remain under investigation, according to a Colorado Parks and Wildlife news release.

Park rangers found Temple’s body in a section of water near the dam.

“While this is never something CPW search crews enjoy, we are glad to bring closure to the family of Miss Temple,” said Kyle Davidson, a parks spokesman.

Temple was reported missing late Saturday night, when her brother called 911 and said she had not returned home from a fishing trip.

Temple had gone to the lake with 61-year-old Frank Montoya, according to parks officials, and the pair were boating in a 1978 17-foot Stryker.

A pickup and boat trailer, presumed to belong to Montoya, were found in the parking area at the south boat ramp.

Montoya is still missing. Park officials plan to resume their search Thursday morning.
