Denver’s temperature could climb to 59 degrees on Tuesday, a welcome relief from the frigid cold that blanketed the metro area since the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be in the 40s. And the mercury is expected to climb back into the 50s on Friday and Saturday, said Jim Kalina, NWS meteorologist.
But people in the metro hoping for a white Christmas could be disappointed. “We could see some snow on Christmas Day, but it is hard to say how much,” Kalina said.
But with high temperatures ranging between 25 to 35 mph, and more snow expected, mountain areas should be covered with the white stuff on Christmas day.
Temperatures on the plains should be about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than in Denver.
