Smoky Hill uses big second half to pull away from Vista PEAK Prep

Junior Eugene Rivers scored 19 of his game-high 21 points in the second half and No. 9 Smoky Hill broke open a close game to claim a 67-48 win over host Vista PEAK Prep on Thursday night in Aurora.

The Buffaloes improve to 7-2 with the victory and are in action next at home on Jan. 4 against No. 3 Grandview, while the Bison fall to 8-1 on the year. Vista PEAK Prep was led by junior Te’Rae Johnson’s 16 points.
