I have been looking for a way to express gratitude to The Denver Post and similar newspapers for providing news and analysis that can be trusted. Trustworthy news seems to be becoming an endangered species. Newspapers have an ability to fact-check stories that social media does not. In an era in which news consumers seem more interested in finding “news” that they agree with and that makes them feel good, accurate, balanced, fact-based news coverage has never been more needed.
It appears that being a patriotic citizen by being a factually informed voter will become ever more difficult in the months and years ahead. Thank you for your role in keeping our democracy strong.
