KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Christmas 2016 will be one the Denver Broncos would like to forget. With a 33-10 loss at Kansas City, the Broncos were eliminated from the playoffs for the first time since 2010, when Kyle Orton was quarterback and Josh McDaniels was freshly fired as head coach.

The loss was the Broncos’ fifth of their last seven games, and their second against Kansas City this season. But this one was the most lopsided. Denver played its worst when the stakes were the highest.

A glimpse at the records, stats and notable numbers of the game:

484: Yards allowed by Denver, the most in a game since 2013.

330: Kansas City’s yards in the first half, the most allowed by the Broncos in a half since 1981.

21: Points scored by the Chiefs on their first 16 plays of the game.

3rd: Consecutive game in which the Broncos scored 10 or fewer points. The last time the Broncos did that was 1966. They had two three-game streaks with 10 or fewer points that season.

2000: The last time the Chiefs swept the Broncos in a season.

70: Yards in Tyreek Hill’s first-quarter rushing touchdown, the longest run against the Broncos this season.

80: Yards in Travis Kelce’s first-quarter receiving touchdown, the longest reception against the Broncos this season.

160: Receiving yards by Kelce, a Chiefs record for a tight end.

46: Rushing yards by Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith. Smith is now the team’s all-time leader in quarterback rushing yards with 1,296 in his career.

46: Combined receiving yards of Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, on four catches.

5: Consecutive playoff appearances by the Broncos before this season, the longest streak in franchise history.
