Ovidio Lopez, 52.A 52-year-old father was in the El Paso County jail and his son was in the hospital after the son was stabbed at a Fountain campground on New Year’s Eve.
Fountain police were called to the KOA campground at 8100 Bandley Drive about 11 p.m. They found Obidio Lopez III, 27, “bleeding profusely,” said Sgt. Scott Gilbertsen of the Fountain Police Department.
The father and son, visiting from Florida, had been fighting, Gilbertsen said.
Obidio Lopez Jr., the father, was charged with first-degree assault.
