One person was wounded in a Wednesday morning shooting at an apartment complex in Adams County, authorities say.
The shooting happened about 8:30 a.m. on the 7500 block of Broadway where sheriff’s deputies found the wounded man in a hallway.
Sgt. Jim Morgen, a sheriff’s office spokesman, said the wounded man is believed to be one of three suspects who went to the apartment for an unknown reason when the shooting happened. The two others — described as men — were seen fleeing the scene.
Two area schools were placed on lockout as investigators scoured the scene.

The condition of the wounded man, who was taken to a hospital, was not immediately available.
“We have a bunch of people we have taken back for interviews,” Morgen said. “We don’t know if (the suspects and those at the apartment) were known to each other, if this was a drug rip. We don’t know what transpired.”
No arrests had been made as of 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
“At this point we are early into this and don’t have a lot,” Morgen said.
