Taco tactic. Police tried to stop a car for failing to signal in the 9000 block of East Arapahoe Road, Greenwood Village, on Nov. 29. The driver pulled into the drive-thru of a Taco Bell to elude officers, then drove to a nearby hotel, got out and ran to a truck and laid down in the bed to hide. Officers located and arrested him. The car was stolen and the man had drugs and burglary tools in his backpack.
Left laptop, lost car. A man living in the 6300 block of South Acoma Street, Littleton, started his car the morning of Dec.8, then went back in his house to retrieve his forgotten laptop. Moments later the vehicle, a Jeep valued at $6,000, was gone.
Family first. A woman called police Dec. 9, from a gas station in the 5600 block of South Broadway, Littleton. She said her cousin who she’d been staying with got in a fight with her boyfriend that day. The cousin asked the victim to go for a ride, then accused her of being the reason for the fight, punched her in the arm and left her at the gas station. The victim was taken to a friend’s house.
Too toasted to tussle. A man living in the 6900 block of South Elati Street, Littleton, reported that his roommate slapped him in the face Dec. 7. Officers found the man and a woman living there were both extremely drunk. There were no signs the man had been assaulted, but the woman was transported to detox for her safety.
Mailbox plundered. A woman living at an undisclosed Greenwood Village address reported her mailbox was broken into and an outgoing credit card payment stolen Nov. 30. Her card was later used at a downtown Denver hotel for $500.
