The man who stumbled through the front door of a 7-Eleven, collapsed and died has been identified as 46-year-old James Michael Miller.

Miller was involved in a confrontation Wednesday night just outside a convenience store in the 1100 block of South Sheridan Boulevard, according to a news release Friday by Ty Countryman, a Lakewood police spokesman.

Witnesses told police a confrontation began around 9:10 p.m.

A store clerk says the man walked into the store, said he had been stabbed and collapsed near the cash register.

Authorities have not announced any arrests.
