Arapahoe County Crime Blotter: A man robbed a convenience store and threatened the clerk

Robber takes cash. A man entered Loaf ‘N Jug, 5950 S. Holly St., Greenwood Village, on Dec. 6, picked up some sunflower seeds and waited for another customer to leave. He then locked the doors and told the clerk, “Actually give me all your big bills,” keeping his hand in his pocket to indicate he had a gun. After ensuring no bills were left in the drawer and threatening to hurt the clerk if he tripped an alarm, the man left on foot eastbound. Detectives are investigating.

Play nice, kids. A brother and sister pulled their car into the parking lot of the Greenwood Village Police Department,6060 S. Quebec St., Greenwood Village, on Dec. 7 and got out screaming at each other. Officers determined the siblings were arguing and hit each other in the car. Neither wanted to pursue charges against the other. They told officers they were sorry.

Checking out in a hurry. On Dec. 9, a woman attempted to cash a $340 check at Wells Fargo,9350 E. Arapahoe Road, Greenwood Village, on Dec. 9 that was written from the account of a bank client who had recently reported her wallet stolen. Employees called police but the women left before officers arrived.

Bad case of gas. Police arrested a man for intentionally damaging a gas line at 7-Eleven, 1277 E. Hampden Ave., Englewood, on Dec. 6. The leak required the business to be evacuated and Xcel Energy crews to be dispatched.

Not how you tailgate. Someone stole the tailgate off of a F-350 in the Ford Nation dealership lot, 8252 S. Broadway, Littleton, sometime between Dec. 10 and 12. The part was valued at $2,500.
