Lakewood uses big fourth quarter to defeat Denver East 90-77

No. 8 Lakewood defeated visiting No. 7 Denver East 90-77 on Monday night, giving the Tigers a bounce-back win following their blowout loss to Chatfield last week.

The Tigers were up just three points at halftime but were paced by a balanced offensive effort from seniors Kolton Peterson, Brandt Christy, Jacob Storey and Dallas Bailey. Junior Daylen Kountz led the Angels with 23 points, while sophomore Kwane Marble chipped in 13 points.

The Tigers (7-3) play at Columbine on Wednesday night in Jeffco League action, while the Angels (9-4) take on Thomas Jefferson on Jan. 21 at the Thunderdome in Denver Prep League play.
