
High tension headphone sale. A couple made arrangements to buy a pair of Beats brand headphones from someone they met through a phone app at the Landmark at Greenwood Village Theater, 5415 Landmark Place, Dec. 17. They met the seller and his friends near a car in the parking structure and gave him $100. The headphones were cracked and the victims demanded their money back. The seller refused. His friend got out and opened the trunk revealing an assault-style rifle. The victims made a scene yelling about the gun. The seller gave back their money, got in the car and left.
Dogged drug bust. Police pulled over a car in the 7200 block of East Belleview Avenue, Greenwood Village, Dec. 15 for a broken light. A female passenger had a drug warrant and a burnt spoon was observed in the car. A drug-sniffing dog was deployed and found syringes and cocaine. The passenger was arrested and the driver released pending charges.
Power grab. Power tools were stolen from a house under construction in the 6600 block of East Powers Avenue, Greenwood Village, overnight Dec. 14. The items, taken from three contractors, included a paint sprayer, miter saw and diamond blade demolition saw. Total loss: $3,400.
Bad, bad boyfriend. Police arrested a resident of the Evergreen Motel, 5810 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton, after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend there Dec. 9. The victim said she called the suspect from work to find he was already drunk. She decided then to break up with him and went to the motel to get her things. When she arrived he threw her on the ground, squeezed her hand until it hurt and punched her, leaving visible marks.
