Scott Pruitt, Donald Trump’s choice to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, is simply the wrong choice for Colorado, America and the world. Pruitt believes the science behind climate change is far from settled, which is out of line with the majority of Americans and the scientists who dedicate their lives to this issue.
One has to wonder why Pruitt doesn’t listen to the majority of climate scientists who agree that climate change is the result of human activity. Perhaps this question can be answered by a look into his background. As Oklahoma’s attorney general, Pruitt has filed 14 lawsuits against the EPA. In fact, 13 of these lawsuits include co-parties who have donated to Pruitt or his political campaign committees.
Due to this blatant conflict of interest, I urge Sen. Cory Gardner to oppose Pruittap nomination.
