Criminal charges against a woman in Denver for allegedly forging divorce documents have been dropped.

Xochitlt Ramirez, 35, was charged in March 2016 with , including forgery and attempting to influence a public official.

“After prolonged investigation and litigation, the Denver district attorney’s office filed a motion to dismiss all charges against Ms. Ramirez,” Ahson Wali, her attorney, said Wednesday. “We applaud the Denver DA’s office for making the right decision, and we are thankful that Ms. Ramirez finally has some peace in her life.”

The motion to dismiss the case, without prejudice, was filed Tuesday.

Prosecutors, in the motion, said, “After further review and investigation, the people are unable to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
