Temperatures are expected to climb into the low 60s Monday under sunny skies, forecasters say.

The high will be around 61 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Winds in the afternoon could gust up to 21 mph. In the foothills, winds could gust up to 50 mph on Monday.

Overnight, temperatures are expected to stay above freezing, weather forecasters say.

The weather will be almost identical on Tuesday, with a high of about 61 again, the NWS says.

Temperatures will drop by more than 20 degrees on Wednesday, the first day of February, according to the forecast.

There is a slight chance of a freezing drizzle Wednesday night after 11 p.m. and Thursday morning before 11 a.m., the NWS says.

In the afternoon Thursday, temperatures are expected to climb to about 42 degrees under partly sunny skies.

It will get warmer on Friday and the weekend, with temperatures rising to the high 40s and low 50s, according to the weather service.

There is a better chance for snow in the mountains on Saturday, forecasters say.
