Pueblo County authorities arrested three people on Monday after a raid on what they say was an illegal, 230-plant marijuana grow at a home.

The county sheriff’s office found the grow after fielding a tip about the operation in the 32000 block of Daniel Road, just south of the Pueblo Memorial Airport. Detectives searched a home and two outbuildings on the property, finding the plants, which were in various stages of growth.

Enrique Saavedra, 36, and his wife, 33-year-old Nicole, were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana and conspiracy. Enrique Saavedra allegedly told investigators he had moved to Colorado recently from Utah to take care of the grow for a man he met through a mutual friend.

Nicole Saavedra told detectives she moved to the home only two weeks ago to help her husband, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators spoke to a third person, 47-year-old Enrique Cancio, who the sheriff’s office says admitted to owning marijuana plants. He was arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy.

All three were booked into the Pueblo County jail, the sheriff’s office says.
