Interview withSulo Shrestha, owner and manager

Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A:After working hard in ski resort hotels for over nine years, I moved to Denver from Breckenridge in 2004 for my daughter’s college and opened Global Gifts in the Outlets at Castle Rock and business was doing well, but the Outlets got new landlords from California and my business, like several others that are not national brands, was sent away at the end of 2012. I reopened my business with a new name, “Little Tibet Imports,” doing business as “Global Boutique,” in Pioneer Hills near Parker.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A:We specializein ladies apparel made with special fabric from Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand and India. We also have hand-crafted silver jewelry and meditation instruments like singing bowls, statues and other crafts.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A:Introducing special dresses and crafts from the other side of the world to American people while supporting craftsmen from those places. It also gives me satisfaction helping our customers find a dress or a craft that pleases them.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A:We need more customers to be able to stay in business.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A:With my broken English I still am able to make our customers satisfied with our products.
