That’s right. Nickelback, , is finally taking center stage at Colorado’s most beloved music venue.
Nickelback, the band literally change leftover from a coffee order at Starbucks, will play Red Rocks as a part of a new 44-city tour in support of its ninth studio album, “Feed the Machine.” (No word on what kind of coffee the machine in question dispenses.) It’s out June 9. Check out the lead single from the album below.
Mark your calendar: Nickelback, who are basically , will play Red Rocks on Sept. 12. Tickets are a perfectly reasonable $75.00 – $125.00 and go on sale Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. via .
But wait: There’s more. Nickelback is offering up VIP packages for each show, with options like “specially designed” Nickelback messenger bags, a “limited edition guitar pick set in wood casing,” and “parking.” No word on pricing, but does it really matter?
Nickelback almost headlined Red Rocks in 2015, but was forced to cancel its entire run of North American dates after frontman Chad Kroeger required emergency . (Side note: The cheapest ticket to was $25.)
Nickelback purists will remember that while this is the first time the band will have headlined Red Rocks, they have played the venue before as a part of 2004’s . They stood proudly beside the likes of Ludacris, Cypress Hill, Galactic, Our Lady Peace, Lil John & the East Side Boyz and Molotov to support that evening’s headliner, none other than Kid Rock himself.
