The U-Haul getaway. Two men rummaging through another man’s garage Jan. 15 in the 22000 block of East Briarwood Drive ran out when the man came home. The suspects jumped into a U-Haul rental truck and sped off.

Purse found in Porta-Potty. A woman locked her purse in a cleaning closet Jan. 20 while she worked in the 14700 block of East Tennessee Drive, and when she went to find it after work it was gone. Her coworkers found it tucked behind a portable bathroom outside, missing $300.

Stolen phone. An employee of Chester’s Philly Grill, 2195 S. Chambers Road, realized that someone stole her phone off the register counter Jan. 19. Security footage showed that a customer walked behind the counter and took it. Police tried to track down the suspect using her credit card information, but she wasn’t home.

Return burglar. A man who lives in the 21800 block of East Briarwood Drive noticed that his storage unit’s door was open Jan. 18 but nothing was missing, so he closed the door. A bit later, he found the door open again, and several of his tools were missing.

Locker break in. Someone stole four credit cards from a man’s gym locker while he was at 24 Hour Fitness, 4100 S. Parker Road on Jan. 17. There are no suspects.

Car vandals. A man left his car in a parking lot in the 14200 block of East Exposition Avenue overnight Jan. 20, and when he went back for it the next day, someone had had spray painted the entire passenger’-side door.
