Adele botching her George Michael tribute ? Whatever. ? Yawn. The awards that we’re downright salivating over are the James Beard Awards.

Today, the committee for the esteemed dining award announced its semifinalists. Spoiler alert: One Boulder restaurant and three Colorado chefs are in the running.

Frasca Food and Wine is one of 20 semifinalists in the Outstanding Restaurant category. Frasca is becoming of this category, having been nominated multiple times in recent years but not (yet!) winning the coveted Nobel of the foodie world. Frasca has, however, won for .

Acorn’s Steve Redzikowski (also a Frasca alum), Mercantile’s Alex Seidel and Black Cat’s Eric Skokan are three of the 20 semifinalists for the Best Chef: Southwest category.

Finalists will be announced on March 15, with the winners crowned on May 1. Fingers — and forks — are crossed for our local culinary gods. (But hey, James, where are our goddesses this year?)
