Trump press conference reaction: Bennet throws shade, Gardner focuses on agriculture and more

DeGette and Perlmutter focus on Paul Ryan, while Coffman, Tipton, Buck stay silent

After a where President Donald Trump aired his grievances against the news media, the intelligence community and his detractors during a stream-of-consciousness news conference that alternated between claims that he had “inherited a mess” and the assertion that his fledgling administration “is running like a fine-tuned machine.”

U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, Colorado’s senior senator, was quick to post a gif on Twitter showing his view of Trump’s “fine-tuned machine.”

The rest of Colorado’s delegation didn’t immediately post any reaction to the news conference.

Instead, U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, Colorado’s Republican senator, notified constituents he was set to talk about the importance of Colorado’s agriculture on the senate floor.

While U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Denver, challenged House Speaker Paul Ryan to explain the House GOP’s position on cutting funding for Planned Parenthood and TitleX.

U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter, D-Arvada, urged Ryan to start an independent investigation into Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election.

On Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton, R-Cortez, posted a message about joining with Gardner and Polis to support a bill to cut federal alcohol taxes for kombucha and update regulations for the issue.

U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado Springs, posted a photo of receiving the True Blue Award from the Family Research Council.

Neither U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Aurora) nor U.S. Rep. Ken Buck (R-Windsor)  have posted anything since Feb. 14 when Coffman posted about joining the Denver CBS affiliate’s broadcast and Buck urged constituents to join him a telephone town hall.
