Following a week of more broken records, the urban corridor should have a mild — albeit cloudy — weekend.

Highs are expected to stay around 63 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday, National Weather Service spokesman Kyle Fredin said. Lows Saturday should hang near 40 degrees while dropping slightly lower Sunday to the mid- to upper-30s.

Temperatures are calming down after Denver broke its third record for the month this week, hitting Ի. Earlier this month, Denver had its hottest February day on record when it reached .

Although there’s a slight chance of rain this afternoon, significant precipitation isn’t expected until later next week, Fredin said.

City dwellers heading up to the mountains for a weekend trip have a good chance of 2-5 inches of snow by the end of Sunday night, he said. It’s not all that cold for the mountains with highs expected near the low-30s to low-40s depending on elevation.
