An 88-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday night in Arapahoe County as she crossed the street at an intersection between the Denver Tech Center and Centennial.

Mary P. Boehm, from Englewood, was crossing in a dimly lit area against the light when she was struck, according to the Colorado State Patrol. She was in the crosswalk.

The collision happened about 9 p.m. at South Dayton Street and East Caley Avenue. No charges have been filed against the driver, who was behind the wheel of a 2008 Honda CRV and had the green light, according to Trooper Nate Reid.

“The crosswalk was described to be as being dark where (Boehm) began to cross and lit where her intended destination (was),” Reid said.

The Honda’s driver and his passenger were not hurt.

Investigators say the driver stayed at the scene.

Further details on the crash have not been released.
