I suppose many of us are simply worn down by the arrant hypocrisy of the Trump administration, but I cannot let this pass. A white man in Olathe, Kan., shouting, “Get out of my country,” shot two Indian engineers last week, killing one. A white man who attempted to intervene was also shot and seriously wounded.
The response from the White House? Not a word. This act was clearly terrorism — the use of violence in furtherance of a political goal. It seems like, just as we now have “alternative facts,” we now have “alternative terrorism,” where it only matters when victims are all white. This old white lady is disgusted and ashamed of my country.
