Balmy temperatures are forecast for the Denver metro area on Friday and the weekend.
The high on Friday is expected to reach 65 degrees in downtown Denver, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
On the weekend, it will be sunny with highs in the upper 60s. It will be breezy on Sunday with wind gusts up to 25 mph.
The next chance for mountain snow is late Sunday and Monday, according to the NWS.
It will be blustery with a 10 percent chance of rain on Monday after 11 a.m.
Again temperatures will rebound through the middle of next week under sunny skies. The highs will range from 47 to 67 degrees Tuesday through Thursday.
Warm and dry conditions, mixed with windy periods, will increase the fire danger across the plains.
