The Cattleman fire near Wellington has grown to around 500 acres.

The Cattleman fire, north of Wellington, has burned nearly 2,000 acres as of 6:15 p.m. Saturday, but is now 85 percent contained.
According to the Wellington Fire Department, the fire is burning near County Road 92.
Earlier, several homes were placed on pre-evacuation orders because of the wildfire.
The fire was first reported about 4 p.m.
