Photos of the Denver Zoo’s baby giraffe Dobby, born on Feb. 28. to boost his immune system and fight infection last week after his keepers noticed he had difficulty standing and nursing. But Sunday, Dobby took a turn around the yard at the giraffe house to the delight of about 300 people.
— and not simply because, at 23 years old, mom Kipele is the oldest of the zoo’s giraffes. In fact, mother Kipele was using birth control at the time of her impregnation.
